How the video looper works
Your clip is uploaded over HTTPS and processed on Rekreate's servers with FFmpeg. When the video is already in a format MP4 can hold — as most phone and camera videos are — the clip is read the number of times you chose and written straight into one MP4 without re-encoding, which is why it is fast and lossless.
Other formats, such as WebM or GIF, are encoded once as H.264 MP4 while they loop. Uploads are deleted after processing, results after 60 minutes.
