What's new in Kling 3.0
Kuaishou described the 3.0 series as the moment "everyone can be a director". Compared with Kling 2.6, the main upgrades are:
- Multi-shot storyboarding (Omni). Define several shots — for example a wide establishing shot, a medium dialogue shot and a close-up reaction — and Kling renders them as one continuous, edited clip with consistent characters and space.
- Longer clips. Up to 15 seconds of structured narrative per generation.
- Native multilingual audio. Dialogue with lip-sync, sound effects and ambience across languages, dialects and accents.
- Consistency and photorealism. Better identity preservation with reference images, more natural skin, lighting and physics.
- Full multimodal input. Text, images, audio and video references.
In June 2026 Kuaishou added Kling 3.0 Turbo (optimized for speed) and upgraded Omni for higher quality and cinematic control.

Standard vs Pro mode
Standard is faster and costs fewer credits — use it to test prompts, shot order and references.
Pro spends more compute per frame, giving sharper detail, more stable faces and better motion in complex scenes. Switch to Pro for the final version of an ad or any shot with close-up faces, hands or fast movement.
How to write a multi-shot Kling 3.0 prompt
Treat each shot like a line in a shot list. Keep the character description identical in every shot and vary only framing, action and camera.
Shot 1 — 4 s: Wide shot. A young woman in a yellow raincoat runs across a rainy Tokyo crosswalk at night, neon reflections on wet asphalt. Tracking shot from the side. Sound: rain, traffic, footsteps.
Shot 2 — 4 s: Medium shot. The same woman in the yellow raincoat ducks under a ramen shop awning, shaking water off her hood, laughing. Static camera. She says in Japanese: "Just made it."
Shot 3 — 4 s: Close-up. Steam rises from a bowl of ramen as she smiles, warm light on her face. Slow push-in. Sound: broth simmering, soft jazz.
Tips:
- Put the hook in shot 1 for social formats.
- Use a reference image for the character to lock identity across shots.
- Add a negative prompt for recurring artifacts (text, extra fingers, warped signs).
