How the video compressor works
Your video is uploaded over HTTPS and re-encoded on Rekreate's servers with FFmpeg using H.264, the most compatible video format. The quality levels use a constant-quality setting, so busy scenes get the detail they need and simple scenes use less space.
When you type an exact size, the compressor works out the bitrate that fits your target and encodes the video twice: the first pass studies the whole video, the second spends the space where the motion is. Uploads are deleted after processing, results after 60 minutes.
